EDUCATION WORK AREA

Sunday School will resume on January 8th.

With the start of a new second service, the need for Sunday school teachers has now increased.  Please consider volunteering to teach a class.  This is not a weekly commitment.  If you have availability in your schedule, please consult the teaching calendar for available dates when teacher help is needed.

The youth will perform in church on 1/22/2017, 2/26/2017, 3/26/2017, 4/30/2017, 5/21/2017

The snowy morning only added more charm to our annual Christmas Pageant!  The kids did a great job performing “Signs of Christmas” on December 11th.  Keep looking for signs all around!

The youth of the SM UMC entertained residents of Willowcrest on Saturday, December 17th with caroling, tone chimes and BINGO.

Thank you one and all who contributed to the baby shower for Jesus.  All items collected will benefit the South Milwaukee Human Concerns.

Bowling, Sunday January 22nd 1 pm at the Root River Lanes on 76th and Rawson.

ALL CHURCH GAME NIGHT: Saturday, February 11, 6 – 9 PM

Ice Skating at Red Arrow Park, Sunday February 26th 1-3 pm.

Please bring in your old aluminum cans for recycling. Proceeds from your donations benefit our youth.

A huge thank you to Linda Varga for crushing cans and Susie Risch for collecting can tops for the Ronald McDonald House.

THANK YOU

Pastor:

Thank you so much for the donations of the baby clothes, toys – the recipients are always pleased. I’m always amazed at the volume of things available at these Rummage Sales – your peoples homes are probably so neat and organized.

Thank You!

I would like to give a big “Thank You” to all my church friends who have remembered me with cards and phone calls during my long illness. You are so appreciated!

Love, Doris Christianson
